At-Home Training

2-Hour In-Home Consultation

Starting Out

This is our standard consultation, which we require for all new dogs and their humans. We use this opportunity to properly evaluate the dog(s) and begin teaching our owners more about their dogs, how they think, and how they operate.

Tailored Approach

Every dog is different, and every dog deserves more than just a mediocre one-size-fits-all approach. One of our primary goals is to immediately begin modifying and tailoring a training plan that best suits that particular dog and the household they live in.

What to Expect

This consultation is designed to address the most impactful training points tailored to your needs. We begin with fundamental handler education. Proper owner education and actionable, immediate strategies can resolve many daily challenges, which is exactly what this consultation provides.

Scheduling and Cost

Prior to the in-person consultation, we recommend a 30-minute to 1-hour introductory call. This will allow us to get a baseline understanding of your daily issues and goals for your dog and better tailor the in-person consultation. The total cost for the introductory call, 2-hour in-home consultation, and up to two hours of total travel time to your location is $135

Foundation Lessons

Puppy Foundation

The Puppy Foundation has been created to help nurture and effectively train good behaviors for puppies six months or younger. This foundation lesson focuses on all things puppy, including potty training, crate training, basic focus, house manners, puppy nutrition, and basic health.

Adolescent Foundation

The teenage phase of a dog’s life can be challenging. This phase of a dog’s life is so important as they are mentally maturing, allowing us to train them to a much higher level. Just like their human counterparts, many adolescent dogs can become more rebellious, anxious, and generally frustrating. This foundation lesson is geared specifically towards the adolescent phase and covers more information on the dog’s mind, how they interpret the world, how they learn, social skills, and general socialization. It also covers more in-depth training material to ensure obedience training creates reliable commands.

Standard Foundation

This foundation lesson is great for any dog over two years old. Just because a dog has a late start does not mean it's too late. During this lesson, we cover a wide variety of subjects, including your dog’s history, daily issues, training methods, training gear, social skills, basic nutrition, basic health, and a great deal of handler education material to aid you in moving forward with your dog’s training and continuing to ensure a high quality of life for them.

At-Home Obedience Courses

Our Frustrations

Homegrown Canine Training was founded out of frustration with trainers who seemed more focused on quick profits than real progress. We believe dog owners deserve more time, more value, and more transparency.

Our programs are designed with your dog’s development and your success as a handler in mind. That means longer sessions, personalized guidance, and everything you need to get started, included upfront.

More Time. More Value. Real Results.

Our In-Home Courses provide up to 2 hours of personalized training per lesson—two times more one-on-one time than the industry average, and all for the same price that many charge for a single hour.

We believe this extended format is essential for real progress. It gives you the time to ask questions, build skills, and dive deep into your dog’s behavior without feeling rushed.

The cost of each course includes all necessary equipment—there are no surprise fees or upsells. It's just honest, effective training designed for real-world results.

Variety

We offer a range of obedience courses designed to match your unique lifestyle, goals, and your dog’s specific needs. From foundational skills to advanced off-leash control, each course is carefully crafted to deliver lasting results through proven methods and personalized instruction.

Whether you're starting with the basics or ready to take things to the highest level, our programs are structured to guide you every step of the way.
